As part of an ongoing safety upgrade, all Jubilee and Northern Line rolling stock working out of Stratford & Golders Green depots are being fitted with ‘Runback’ equipment. The supplied panels are retro-fitted to the driver’s desk and comprise an operational panel and an interface assembly to link the added controls back into the train systems. Two sets of equipment are supplied per train set, and a total of 340 units will be required to complete the upgrade.
The installation will prevent any movement of the train once it is stationary.

Craig and Derricott have been supplying specialist electrical equipment to the MOD for more than 50 years and have nearly 500 products NATO codifed. The latest product is the ‘DH9’ encapsulated limit switch, which has been designed specifically for use on the new ‘Astute’ class of nuclear submarines being built by BAe Systems Marine Ltd at their Barrow shipyard.
The plug termination allows greater flexibility during installation. The assembly is designed to withstand complete submersion for long periods, and is the latest in a long line of Craig and Derricott specialist ‘encapsulated’ products in use across the world.
